Dr. Priya Shah

Dr. Priya Shah is Deputy Director of the Directorate of Research and Assistant Professor of Economics at LJ University, Ahmedabad. A PhD from IIM Shillong, her research explores consumer behavior and sustainable food systems, with a focus on alternative grains. She holds an MSc in Behavioural and Economic Science from the University of Warwick and an MA in Economics from Gujarat University, where she ranked first. At LJ University, she oversees the PhD program, research policy design, and faculty research enhancement. Her work has been published in high-impact journals such as the International Journal of Hospitality Management and Journal of Business Research. She has delivered expert talks and chaired academic sessions at national and international platforms. A UGC-NET qualified economist, Dr. Shah’s interests lie in public policy, healthy eating, and sustainability. She is an active member of LJ University’s Research and Academic Councils.
